Leadership
Anton Donde, Chief Executive Officer
Before starting SpeedTax, Donde founded PayUSA, the payroll processing and tax filing business, which grew into a publicly traded company catering to more than 5,000 small and medium businesses. During his 14-year tenure as president and CEO of PayUSA, he built a high-volume and high-reliability transactional service business—while also managing the purchase and integration of three other payroll businesses, and sold the business after it was listed on NASDAQ.
Donde subsequently relocated to New Zealand, where he consulted on strategy for mergers, continuing to fund and grow software startups. He spent six years in Wellington, until he was recruited in 2004 by Macquarie Bank’s private equity group in Sydney, Australia. Donde left Macquarie in February 2007 to take an executive post at the investment company of Committed Capital.
With payroll services as his background, Donde recognizes sales tax compliance as an evolving space with parallels to payroll outsourcing decades ago as he drives SpeedTax toward leadership in the marketplace.
